Process
How do I know if my home or factory is suitable for solar?

We provide a free site assessment to determine if your roof receives enough sunlight and has suitable structural integrity for solar installation. Generally, most landed homes and factory rooftops in Singapore are viable.

Do I need approvals or permits before installation?

Yes, approvals from SP Group and SCDF (Commercial Projects) are typically required, especially for grid-tied systems. Don’t worry, Energio will handle all permit applications and regulatory submissions for you.

How long does the entire installation process take from consultation to completion?

The full process typically takes 6 to 9 weeks, depending on site complexity and approval timelines. Here’s a general breakdown:

• 1–2 weeks for procurement

• 1 week for installation

• 4–6 weeks for SP Group submission, inspection, and system turn-on

What is the average cost of a solar system in Singapore?

The cost generally ranges from $10,000 to $40,000 for residential systems, depending on size, roof type, and inverter choice. Commercial systems vary based on scale.

How much can I save per month?

For most residential systems in Singapore, homeowners typically save $150 to $900 per month on electricity bills (some even enjoy negative bills!). For commercial and industrial systems, monthly savings can range from a few thousand dollars to over $10,000, especially at high-consumption or 24/7 operational sites (eg. coldrooms).

Excess solar energy can also be exported back to the grid for additional rebates. Actual savings depend on your energy usage, system size, and roof conditions.

How long does it typically take to break even on a solar investment?

On average, 4–6 years. If you sell excess energy back to the grid, you can enjoy additional rebates and shorten your payback period.

About Energio
What inspired the creation of Energio?

Energio was born from a personal mission! When our founder couldn’t find a solar installer who could answer his questions or meet his needs, he built his own system from scratch; he wanted to reduce his family’s electricity bill and carbon footprint. That same hands-on passion now drives us to deliver thoughtful, reliable solar solutions to homes and businesses across Singapore.

How is Energio different from other solar companies?

We pride ourselves on transparency, responsiveness, and tailoring each system to the client’s real needs and building characteristics, not just pushing the biggest system possible. Our boutique scale allows us to focus on quality.

Are your installers and engineers certified?

Yes. All our engineers and installers have completed manufacturer training and hold relevant industry certifications. Every project is also endorsed by a licensed PV LEW (Licensed Electrical Worker) to ensure compliance and safety.

What kind of post-installation support can I expect?

We provide lifetime customer support, system monitoring, and warranty servicing. Our team is always on hand for questions or performance reviews.

What does the name "Energio" mean?

Energio means “Energy” in Esperanto -- a constructed international language. The name was chosen for its clear connection to energy, while sounding modern, tech-inspired, and uniquely memorable.
